Informations taken the Twenty first
day of September 1789 at the Parish of St
George Hanover Square within the Liberty
of Westmr . in the County of Midsex upon an
Inquisition touching the death of Anthony
D Polier
< no role > lying dead in the said Parish
Liberty and County.

Charles Hope< no role > a Serjeant in the Cold Stream
Regiment of Foot Guards on his Oath saith That
Yesterday about ten Minutes before Twelve o' Clock
Dept. was upon Duty in Hyde Park when the
heard [..] small report of a Pistol Says that [..]
[..] in about Eight or Ten Minutes
Dept. heard another Report of a Pistol much
lendar than the first Says, that after seeing the
Relief out he met a Man going along the
Park who said that a Man lay down by the
side of a Tree who appeared to be intoxicated
with Liquor or had laid violent hands upon
himself, upon which Dept went to the Deced
who lay by the side of a Tree on the Ground
near the Park Wall in the Parish of St. George
Hanover Square , Says that the Deced bled at
the right Ear and appeared to be dead, having
a Pistol in his right Hand with his fourth
finger upon the [..] [..] and the Cock quite down
and was lately discharged, and Dept believes
that the Deced shot himself with the Pistol
put into his Mouth.

Captain John Boyle< no role > of Walworth Surry on his
Oath saith That he has known Anthony D Polier< no role >
about four & [..] who used to be frequently at
Depts. House who had the care of Deced Says
that the Deced has been low Spirited and
desponding for a considerable [..] time [..]
[..] last, past, and that he was uneasy in his Mind
