Informations taken this Twenty second
day of June 1785 at the Parish of St. Martin
in the Fields within the Liberty of Westmr
in the County of Middlesex upon an
Inquisition touching the death of
Thomas Rowland< no role > , now lying dead in
the said Parish Liberty and County.

John Flowers< no role > of Hungerford Waterman on
his Oath saith That Yesterday Evening about
Six o'Clock Dept. had a Gentleman Fishing in
his Boat at Westmr. Bridge when he saw
the Deced floating in the River Thames
[..] a little below the Duke of
Richmond's House in Prison Garden White Hall, Says
that he Rowed to the Deced whom he
took hold of and by the assistance of
John Knightley< no role > another Watchman fastened
the Deced to the Young Man's Boat, who
Rowed down towards Hungerford, and
Dept. went up afain with his Fare to the
Bridge the Deced did not appear to have
been long Drowned, but his Nose a little
Grazed.

on his Oath saith That he was in his Boat by Westmr. Bridge
Yesterday Evening about six o'Clock, when
he saw the Deced floating on the River
Thames opposite Privy Garden , That John
Flowers
< no role > another Waterman rowed to Deced
and Depodt. followed Says that they fastened
the Deced to Dept. Boat, and Dept. round
his Boat and Towed Deced to Black dyon
Stairs the Bottom of Charles Court in the
Parish of St. Martin in the Fields where
Deced was taken ashore, Says that he
observed
