Mary< no role > the Wife of St. John Hight< no role > Lodging
at Mr. Andrews in Sun Court in the Parish
of St. George Hanover Square on her Oath saith
That on the Eighteenth Instant between three
and four o'Clock in the Morning Mrs. Littlewood
came to Dept. Room, saying there was a Woman
in Labour in her Room and desired Dept. to
come down, upon which she went and the
Woman was very soon Delivered of a Male
Child, who appeared to be very healthy and
well, Says that Mrs. Crowder (who was likewise
called there) and this Dept. soon after went
away into their own Apartment, Says that
she did not see the Child afterwards until
Yesterday, when it was dead, Says that she
heard the Child Moan very much a Night
or two before it died, which happened on
Saturday last in the Evening at Dept. was
informed, Says that she does not know
of any thing having been given to the Child
to cause his Death, and believes that the
Child died in a natural Way. Says that
the Woman before shewhichwas Delivered of the
Child on being asked whether it was her
first Child, Answered that it was,

James Morrill< no role > Shoemaker Lodging at Mr. Andrews
in Sun Court on his Oath saith, That he has Lodged
in that House Eight Years, Says that Mrs. Littlewood
hired a Room there and let it furnished at the time, to he came there
a Woman passing by the name of Mrs. Watson
who had lain in there as Dept. was informed
Says that the Child lived and was put out to
Nurse, Says that since that time four Children
have been born in Mrs. Littlewood's Room with two Years which
is on the Second Floor adjoining to Depts. Room,
and that the four Children have died soon
after

Says that the Chid now lying dead was
born on the Eighteenth Instant between three
and four o'Clock in the Morning, Says that
he did not see the Child, Say that he heard
the Child Moan the Day it died and the Day
before, That he head the Mother of the Child
on Friday desire Mrs. Littlewood to do something
for the Child, and she Answered that she had
done all she could for it, That he does not
know of any thing having been done by any
Person to cause the Death of the Child, and
thinks that it died in a natural Way, but
apprehends that the Child was rather Neglected.

Joseph Ferdinando Gillio< no role > Surgeon on his
Oath saith, That he this day Examined a Male
Infant Child in Mrs. Littlewood Apartment
and found no Marks of violence thereupon
Says that on opening the Body, the Intestine
Colon and Recton were found in a Mortified
State, which was the immediate cause of his
Death, which might arise from a preceedings
Disorder in the Bowels.
