Robert Perrean< no role > of Golden Square Apothecary on his Oath
saith, That he has known the Deced for Sixteen Years last past
that the Deced was at times very low Spirited and that about Ten
or Eleven Years ago he was particularly so, Says that he found the Deced
in last Novr. very chearful and in high Spirits, and very different
from what he had been used to be, but upon Bleeding and Admi-
nistring some Medicnes Deced got better, and enjoyed his Health
for some time, Says that about three weeks ago Dep [..] t. was sent for
to Deced, when he discovered great Marks of Discontent & wretchedness
complaining of the want of Rest and Appetite, That he Administred
Medicines to him which he took, But Depont. says that last
Thursday (May 12th.) be observed some Marks of Insanity in the
Deced, upon which he desired that the Deced's Papers might be
taken from him, and that a Watchful Eye should be had to him
Says that he attended the Deced twice every day since that time
That the deced every day grew worce, That he saw the Deced
last Night and found stronger Marks of Insanity in the Deced than before
Says that he followed Mr. Alexander Charles< no role > (after he had forced
open the Deced's Bedchamber Door) into the Room and saw the
Deced upon the Floor by the Bedside with a great deal of Blood
upon his Shirt and upon the Floor which issued from the
Deced's Throat, The Deced having a Razor in his left H [..]
which he believes the Wound in the Throat was given.
