Informations taken this Twelfth day of October
1768 at the Parish of St. Clement Danes within the Liberty
of Westmr . in the County of Middlesex on an Inquisition
touching the Death of Richard Raihe< no role > [..] lying dead in the
said Parish Liberty and County.

John Bristow< no role > a Pauper belonging to the Parish of St. Clement
Danes within the Liberty of Westmr. on his Oath saith, that h [..]
has been taken care of by Mrs. Hannah Poole< no role > This name instance is in set 37173717. one of the Nurses of said
Parish and lived at her House in Clements Lane, in said
Parish for twelve months last part says that Richard Raine< no role > This name instance is in set 3703. the Deced was likewise a
Pauper and lived in same House with Dept. Says that
the Deced has been there about five weeks generally complaining
of being Troubled with Worms, and that they knowed his
Stomach to pieces, Says that he continued in the same Way
until yesterday, when the Deced being in Bed about
two o'Clock, and having some Meat to Eat, asked Dept to len [..]
him a Knife, which Dept. did, but Dept. did not see Deced
make any use of it, nor did he observe what Deced was
doing, the Deced thenbeingthen covered himself with the Bed Cloaths, Says that
he continued in the Room until near Five o'Clock when
Dept. hearing something rattle in Deced's Bed, and thinking
that his Cough (which had been very violent) was returning, Dept. went to reach him a
spitting pot, and on turning up the Bed Cloths saw a great
quantity of Blood in the Bed, Says that he alarmed the
People in the Hour and that Mr. Patch a Surgeon was fetched
who Served up the Wound in Deceds Throat in Dept. presence
from whence the Blood issued, Says that he found the Knife
which he lent Deced in the Bed Bloody, with which he believes
the Deced gave himself the Wound in the Throat which was
the Cause of his Death Says that the Deced used to talk
to himself frequently in Bed.
