Informations taken this 13th. day of May 1767
at the Parish of St. Martin in the Fields within the
Liberty of Westmr. in the County of Middlesex on an Inquisition
touching the Death of Thomas Taylor< no role > lying Dead in the
said Parish Liberty and County.

John Drury< no role > Servant to Mr. Richard Wood< no role > of Northam -
berland Street in the Parish of St. Martin in the Fields Coat
Merchant on his Oath saith, That the Deced Thomas Taylor< no role > [..]
likewise Servant to Mr. Wood, and that the Deced this Dept.
were at Breakfast together on Board a Vessel laden with Coat
& lying in the River Thames last Monday Morning, Says that
the Deced about Eleven o'Clock was going out of the Vessel
into a Lighter that lay near, and having hold of a Rope
(called the Bobstay) which brokein his Standand Deced
fell into the Thames, and immediately was drove under
the Lighters Bottom, and Dept. did not see him come up
Says that two Men were employed to Search for the Dover with Hogted
and about Six of the Clock that the Deced was found in sd. Reced Drowns,
Says that the Deced was put into a Wherry and brought
to Hungerford Stairs in the Parish of St. Martin in the Fields
