Soon after the Depont. returnedthethe Deced went out of the Shop
into the Parlour, but Dept. cannot tell where he went from thence,
Says that about five Minutes after that, Depts. Master laid down
a Hat which he was Cocking, Saying it was too dark to see, and went
into the Parlour likewise, where he used to Sit, Says that in
about five Minutes after his Master's going into the Parlour Dept.
continuing in the Shop, and taking the Stockings out of the Window,
he heard some body fall upon the Ground before the Shop in
which Dept. was, Says that he looked out immediately and saw
two Men lying on the Ground, Opposite to the House wherein
Dept. was, Says that he was going out at the Shop Door to see who
lay there, & was stopped by a Man there who told Dept. that his
Brother was Dead, Dept. says that he was much frightend, took
his Hat and went out in order to fetch Mr. Haines the Apothecary
Says that he then found, one of the Man to be the Deced, Says that
when he returned from the Apothecary , the Deced had been
carried into the Shop, and laid upon the Counter, Says that the
Deced was then Dead, and that there was much Blood about the
Deced Head,

Barney Tormay< no role > Servant to Mr. John Dunn< no role > at the Red Lyon
in Russell Street Victualler on his Oath saith, that about six o'
Clock yesterday Afternoon Deponent to was standing at his Master's
Door (which is nearly opposite to Mr. Eastgates House) Says that a Porter
was drinking a pennyworth of Beer at the Door with Deponent,
Says that the Porter ( who is Name Dept. does not know) cryed out
See how the Man comes tumbling down to the Ground, upon
which Deponent looked and saw the Deced fall upon the Ground
before Mr. Eastgates House says that the Deced was within about two yards of the Ground
when Dept. first saw him, Says that he looked and saw one
of the Garret Windows in Mr. Eastgate's House open, and no
other window open in the House [..] and Dept. believes that
he fell out of that Garret Window, Says that he came over
to Deced and lifted him up, and that another Man lay upon
the Ground with Deced, which the Deced fell upon an Deponent
believes, Dept. says that there was much Blood upon the Ground
which came from the Deced's Head which bled very much, and
says that the Deced was then Deced. Says that he saw no Person
in the Garret from which (as Dept. believes) the Deced fell.

Dorothy Brown< no role > Servant to Mr. Thomas Eastgate< no role > on her Oath
saith that she was in the Kitchin in her Mother's House all the
Afternoon yesterday, says that about six o'Clock she was alarmd [..]
with a Now in the Street that somebody was fallen out of a
Window, Says that she came up immediately and met Miss Eastgate
her Master, and Mistress, coming out of the Shop into the Parlour
and was told by Miss Eastgate that it was her Brother that fell
down, Says that she saw the Deced lye upon the Ground upon her
Back and Dept. believes that he was then Dead, Says that she Made
the Bed one of in the Garrets yesterday in the forenoon, and that she left
the Garret Window open at that time, Says that she head no
Person go up Stairs yesterday Afternoon about the time that
the Accident happened nor any talking upon the Stairs, Dept
says that she thinks it possible for a person to fall out of the
Garret Window in shutting the Window.

this day Examined the Deced, and find the back part of the
Deceds Scull Fractured, and believe it to be the immediate cauce of the
Death of the Deced.
