aforesaid, to receive and
convey. And to the Church-Wardens, Chapel-Wardens, or
Overseers of the Poor
of the Parish, Place or Precinct of
or either of them to receive and obey.
WHEREAS Solmon Murlem was
apprehended in the said Parish of Saint [..] Ann
aforesaid
as a Rogue and Vagabond (videlicet) Wandering abroad and beggings
Contrary to the statute Etc
And upon Examination of said Solomon Murlem< no role >
taken before me this Day, upon Oath (which Examination is here-
unto annexed) it doth appear that the last legal settlement of the
said Solomon Murlem< no role >
is in the Parish of
Maxfields
in the County of Norfolk
.
These are therefore to require you the said Constable and other
Officers to convey the said Solomon Murlem< no role >
to the Parish of stratford
in the County of Essex
that being the first Parish in the next Precinct through which
he ought to pass in the direct Way to the said Parish
of Maxfield
to which he is to be sent, and to de-
liver him to the Constables or other Officer of such Parish
in such next Precinct, together with this Pass, and the Duplicate of
the Examination of the said Solomon Murlem taking his Receipt for
the same. And the said Solomon Murlem is
to be thence conveyed on in like Manner to the said Parish of
Maxfield
there to delivered to some Church-Warden, Chapel-Warden, or
Overseer of the Poor
, of the same Parish to be there provided
for according to Law. And you the said Church-Wardens, Chapel-
Wardens, or Overseers of the Poor, are hereby required to receive
the said Person, and provide for him as aforesaid. Given under
my Hand and Seal this 20th. Day of June in the
Year of our Lord 1798.
