Westminster To wit.
Guilford


To the Constable, Headborough , Tythingman, and other Officer
of the Peace of the Parish of St. Margaret in the
City of Westminster and County
of Middlesex
within the said to receive and convey,
And to the Church-Wardens, Chapel-Wardens or Overseers
of the Poor of the Parish, Place or Preceinct of Stoke near
in the County of Surry
or either of them to receive and obey

WHEREAS Jane Goosberry hath been

apprehended in the said Parish of St. Margaret Westmr.
as aRogue and Vagabond, (videlicet) lying in the open Air

and upon Examination of the said Jane Goosberry< no role > This name instance is in set 980.
taken before me this Day upon Oath (which
Examination is hereunto annexed) it doth appear that her last Legal
Settlement is in the said Parish of Stoke neat
Guilford in the County of Surry

These are therefore to require you the said Constable or other Officer
to Convey the said Jane Goosberry< no role > This name instance is in set 980.

tothe Lambeth in the County of Surry that being the first
Town or place in the next Precinct thro' which she ought to pass in the
direct Way to the said Parish of Stoke near Guilford to which
she is to be sent and to deliver her to the Constable or
other Officer of such Town in such next Precinct, together with this
Pass, and the Duplicate of the Examination of the said Vagrant
taking his Receipt for the same. And the said Vagrant
to be thence conveyed on in like Manner to
the said Parish of Stoke there to be delivered to some Church-
Warden, Chapel-Warden or Overseer of the Poor of the same Parish
to be there provided for according to Law. And you the said Church-
Wardens, Chapel-Wardens, and Overseers of the Poor are hereby required
to receive the said Person and provide for them as aforesaid. Given un-
der my Hand and Seal this Second Day of September
in the Year of our Lord 17 45.
