We the Grand Committee appointed for the Management
of the Affairs of this Hospital do report our Proceedings therein since
the last Annual General Court held the 24th July 1754

We have granted Leases to the following Persons Vizt.

Thos. Pigram


To Thomas Pigram< no role > the Younger of Gilson the County
of Hertford a Lease of the Farm at Parndon in Essex lately held by
Robert Smith< no role > for 21 Years from Michs 1754 a clear Rent of £86.10

Tenants at
Tibshelfe


We appointed a Sub-Committee to go to Tibshelfe in Derbyshire
in Order to View Lett and Sett the Hospital Estate there and upon the
best Information the Committee could gett touching the Nature & Value
of the Estate they were of Opinion that the same would well bear an
increase of 6d P Acre Rent or a Fine in Proportion And the Tenants
choosing rather to Submit to an Increase of the Rent at the said Rate
of 6d P Acre the Sub-Committee agreed to Grant them new Leases for
21 years from Mich"s 1756 (which their present Leases will expire) at
a clear yearly Rent of £191..7..2 being an Advance on the old Rent
of £26..12..6 and a Fine of £1518..9..4 being the old Fine.

Joseph Lester


To Joseph Lester< no role > a Lease of the new built House
adjoining to Mr. Whitfield the Apothecary's House for 21 Years from
Ladyday 1755 at the yearly Rent of £21.. and a Fine of £52..10

To the Wrigglesworth


To Thomas Wrigglesworth< no role > a Lease of a new built Tene-
ment in Front of the said Apothecary's House for 14 years from Laday
1755 at the Yearly Rent of £9..9..

Robert & Thomas
Seares


To Robert Seares< no role > of Barnett in the County of Middlesex
Carpenter and Thomas Seares< no role > of the place Distiller a Lease
of the House at Southgate lately held by Henry Samuel Eyre< no role > Esqr .
deceased with so much of the Garden as belongs to the Hospital for
21 Years from Michs 1755 at the clear yearly Rent of £20.

Cha. Hedges


To Charles Hedges< no role > a Lease of the House & Warehouses
in the Old Baily now in his Possession which he holds under a
Lease from James Steere< no role > for 21 Years from Michs 1755 he Surren
dering the under Lease to be cancelled at the clear yearly Rent
of £16..-

Desperate Arrears


We have Order'd some old Arrears of Rent amounting
to the Sum of £320..2..10½ which are adjudg'd desperate to be struck
off from the Hospital Account and to be carryed into the Account
of desperate Debts

We have thought it proper to enquire into the Duty
of the Office of the Matron of this House And are of Opinion that
