In Pursuance of the Reference to Us by the said Last General Court
We have Agreed with

. our Tennant
of the Demesnes of the
Mannor of Crofton
in Orpington
and Farnborrow
in Kent
(as Assignee of the
Administrators of
Littleygroom Kickley< no role >
Deceased our late Tennant
) That he
shall Erect and Build at his own Charge a good and substantial new Brick
House with a Barne and Stable and other necessary Out houses in the Field
over against the Pound belonging to our said Mannor within Three Years
from Lady Day One thousand seven hundred and Twenty Three And shall
Lay out and Expend therein Four hundred pounds or upwards and keep the
same in good Repaire during the said Terme and so Leave the same at the
End thereof In Consideration whereof he is to have an Addition of Fourteen
Years to his present Terme which will be thereby made up Five and Twenty
years from Lady Day One thousand seven hundred and Twenty Three at a
pepper corne P Ann for the First Two years And the old Rent of Forty
pounds P Ann for the Remainder of the said Terme And he is to have the
Trees lately felled in our Woods there Allowed him towards the said Building
He paying the Charge of Felling.

That he shall Held
a Field called Eastfield
lying near Mare Street
in Hackney
aforesaid lately
Held by Mr. Mackay for a Year certain from Lady Day 1723. And to Leave it
then if the Hospital shall require it Or upon Six months Notice afterwards
on either side He is to pay Ten Pounds P Ann as Rent for the said Field
Tax Free And to pay Ten Shillings P Ann as an Acknowledgment for the
Rails Standing before the said Dwelling House which are placed upo Part
of this Field and for the Liberty of a Way out of Mare Street
aforesaid to and
from his Dwelling House.
We have Ordered the Footway now and for some time past used
through the Old Gravell Pit Field
near the Bowling Green House
in
Hackney
leading to Hummerton
to be Stopped up to prevent the great
Damage and inconveniency arising thereby to this Hospitals Estate there
And that that part of this Field which is Lett with the meeting House there
be Fenced off from the Rest of the said Field with Rails or by a Ditch.

shall Hold the same
from Lady Day 1723. At the Old Ground Rent of Four Pounds Eight Shilling
P Ann and the Additional Rent of Sixteen pounds P Ann in the whole
Twenty Pounds Eight shillings Tax Free Payable Quarterly He is to Quit
Possession on halfe a Years Warning.
