Wee are to Accquaint this Worppll. Court that David Jones< no role > Free
Waterman of London, and late a Porter in the Queens Yard at Portsmouth
who departed this Life the 18th. of September 1704. as we are Informed by
Letter in August last from Mr. John Nash< no role > & John Bird< no role > Assistants
to the Master Shipwright , and George Freind< no role > Master Ropemaker in the
Deck yard at Portsmouth Hath in his Will of which they are Overseers
proved in the prerogative Court of Canterbury Devised the Revercon
of Three Freehold Houses in Gosport neare Portsmouth to this Hospll.
for ever After the Death or Marriage of Elizabeth< no role > his Wife and the
Death of John Sparrow< no role > Waterman of London & his Son David Sparrow< no role >
and Elizabeth Williams< no role > Wife of John Williams< no role > of Portsmouth Shipwright
Of whom the sd. Jones's Wife and the sd. are since
Dead. John Buddey< no role > Mr. Ellis and Phillip Varlon< no role > are the
present Tennants, The rents are about Thirty pounds P Ann:

A Passage to be
left trading from
St Thomas to ye Church yard.


Wee have Agreed with Mr. John Walley< no role > to Grant him a Lease
of Two small Old Tenements lyeing in St. Thomas's Church Yard
late in Lease toDyaper for Fifty One yeares from Michas
1705. and of Three other small Old Tenements Adjoyneing late in
Lease toAshby for Forty Seaven yeares & three Quarters from Xtmas
1708. At which time the present Lease Expires At the Yearely Rent of
Fifty shillings till Xtmas 1708. and from thence at Five pounds Ten
Shill P Ann for Remainder of the Terme. He is layout Two
Hundred pounds in building of Four or more new Birck Houses in
the Roome of these Old Houses within Three Yeares He is to make
& leave for Comon & Publick use a Gateway or passage under the said
Intended New Buildings out of St. Thomas's Street into the sd. Church yard
for the Carrying of Corps thither and for the Conveniency of Passage
the Old Way being very Narrow & low. The said Gateway or Passage
to be as wide as the passage leading to part of the said Houses out of Sr.
Thomas's Street aforesd. and of equall Highth with the First Storey
of the sd. New Houses.

Underwood Sold [..]
in Hastingleigh & Wye.}


Wee have sold to Sr: Willm Honywood< no role > Barrtt : severall parcells of
Underwood in our Woods at Hastingleigh & Wye in the County of Kent . Vizt.
All the Underwood in Read Wood & Lynn Wood in Hastingleigh at
Nine pounds P Acre and in Haines (Wood Hurst Wood and the
Oldest Growth in Gill nash Wood and those parts of Culverhill Wood
now comonly called Richmores Wood & Hares Spring lyeing in Hastingleigh
& Wye at Six pounds Five Shillings P Acre He is to Cutt Readwood Lyewood
& Gillnash Wood the next fall, and to have Liberty to Cutt the rest the next
fall after He is to leave Tallers according to Custome, and to Fence the
Woods substantially for preserving the Young Springs, He is to pay
for the same at Xtmas next.
