And wee have also agreed with Mathew Eatts< no role > Citizen and Clothworker of London
That in consideracon of his paying in hand a fine of Thirty pounds he shall have
a Lease of the Tenements in the parish of St. Thomas in Southwarke late in
the tenure of Thomas Bartholomew< no role > for one and Twenty yeares from Michmas
1694 att the yearely rent of Three pounds and Six Shillings and no more. And
therefore the Fine charged upon the said Bartholomew and the arrears of Rent
in the Accompt is to bee discharged.

And Wee do further humbly certifie That in the proceeding of the new
buildings when wee come to sett out the West part or side of the Square now
erecting wee found wee should not carry it on in a range with the North side
Buildings of the said Square without a peice of ground (whereon were a parcell of
old Buildings dangerous for fire) containing on the North side Thirty foote on the
Southside Thirty foote Eight inches on the East side Thirty two foote Ten inches
and on the Westside Twenty Fower foote and Ten inches And therefore wee
agreed with Jospeh Mustion in behalfe of himselfe and others concerned for the
said ground and Tenements for the terme of Fifteene yeares from Midsomer
1694. being all the fine they have therein they being Tenants to John Coldham< no role >
Esqr the reputed owner of the Fee thereof att and for the yearely rent of Five pounds.

And to prevent inconveniences by taking in of Sisters and their Assistants
which are through age or other infirmities unfitt for their places Wee think
it fitt That from henceforth no Sister or Assistant of a Sister bee admitted into
the Service of this house but such as are vigorous and Strong in body and that
do not exceed the age of Forty yeares att the fine of the admittance and if she
bee after found not so qualified att the time of her admittance her admittance
to bee declared void.

place of Ann Box< no role > deceased.

And Whereas a Graunt was lately made to William Clarke< no role > of Severall
Tenements in St. Thomas parish Southwarke for the terme of one and Twenty
yeares from Michmas 1693 (being the time when the old Lease expired) att the
yearely rent of Fower pounds and a Fine of One hundred and Twenty pounds
in hand Now forasmuch as Since the said Graunt he hath laid out a considerable
Sum of money in buildings and repairing of the premisses Wee humbly think
it fitt That the terme in the said Lease bee made up one and Thirty yeares
under the rent aforesaid

And wee humbly after that have bee given to the inhabitants in Wallnutt
tree Court adjoyning on the North part of this house to carry the Rain water
thence in a Draine through the Hospitall by the Womens Wards into the Comon
Sewer during the pleasure of this Court paying Twelve pence a yeare and
keeping it in repaire and making good all damage from time to time that shall
happen to any the pavements of the Hospitall otherwise thereby they having
long enjoyed the like benefitt under that rent through a draine stopped as by
the new buildings.

And Wee do humbly acquaint this Court that wee have in pursuance of
yor. order proceeded so farr in new buildings as that the house is very much
in disburse and its imposible it can bee carried on without liberall contributing
from well disposed persons And therefore wee humbly lay it before the Court to
direct the most effectuall waies and [..] meanes for the attaining the same.
