and order payment as they shall find reasonable

Mr Treasurer Reported from the Committee for
the New Buildings that they had proceeded to have
a plan & proposals drawn up for the building
4 Houses above St Thomas Church and in
regard Mr Laurence Neal< no role > who built the Eight
Houses below the Bird in hand has alledged
that he is a considerable loser by that Bargan
wch. the Committee apprehend may be true
And that Mr. Porter has been very Servisable
in attending & advising about the new
intended Buildings. The Committee think
it reasonable to shew both Mr Neal & Mr Porter
the Proposals & direct them to make their
respective offers & demands for such
new building and Mr Treasurer now lays
them before this Grand Committee the Plan and
Proposals for their consideration

Mr. Neal & Mr Porter Severally delivered
in their demands for the said new Buildings
and the same being inspected it appears that
Mr. Neal asks £1066:10

Mr. Porter £894:11
and offers to allow
for old materials 50}
844:11

Which demand of Mr Porters is considerabley
lower than an Estimate made by Mr. Steer
the Surveyor

Resolved That this Committee do approve
of the said plan & proposals and accept
of the Offer made by Mr. Porter and the Clerk
is to draw up and agreement accordingly
