Generall Court: Wensday 10th: Janry 1721

The Minutes of the last Generall Court were Read, and
Approved.

Mr Trear acquainted the Court, That this Court was
perticularly called to Consider what was fitt to be
Done on behalfe of this Hospll. in respect of the
Bill in Parliament for A New Bridge , between Lambeth
& Wesmr: weare Peter borough House

Ordered That the following Gentlemen be a Committee to
draw up a Petition to the House of Commons against the
sd Bill for Building a Bridge over the Thames from [..]
[..] Lambeth to Westminster (vizt) Mr Trear, Sr: Char:
Cox
< no role > , Mr Lade, Mr Halsey, Mr Malyn, Mr: Kenrick, Mr Billers
Mr. Moses Raper< no role > , Mr Monck, Mr Mout Mr Sheering,
Mr Mayo, Mr Powle, and any other of the Governors who
please to Attend.

And it is Referred to this Committee, to Take the
necessary Measures for Opposeing the said Bridge.

Mercur : 17 o: January 1721:

The sd Committee met, and prepared A petition to the H: of Comeean Addressand were
attended by Dr. Jurin and Mr:Machin, Two Eminent
Mathematicians , who were desired to Give their Assistance
in opposeing the said Bridge.
