The Minutes of the last Grand Comittee read & approved off

to Cutt of the
Stone, & Assistant
Surgeon.}
The President being pleased to informe this Comittee that he
had Treated with Dr: Cyprianns about his Instructing Two Surgeons in his
Mother of Cutting of the Stone for the service of this Hospll: and that the
Doctor is ready & willing to doe the Same; And this Comittee being acquainted that
Mr: Ellon (who was chosen will Mr: Rydoubt the last year to be employed
in Cutting of the Stone in this Hospll. for one year ending at Midsomer next) desired
to be excused at present by reason of his Indisposicon from Acting in that Operation
And there being severall Patients in the House ready to be Cutt, & this being
the propper Season of the year for that

Agreed & Ordered by this Comittee
of the part
[..] that Mr:
William Pepper< no role >
be admitted in
the Roome of the said Mr: Elton as one of the principall Surgeons for
Cutting of the Stone from this time till Midsomer 1702. & from thence
dureing the pleasure of the Governor: & to have halfe the Sallary appointed
for that purpose And that he be alsoe admitted for the like time as an
Assistant Surgeon
to the other Surgeons of this Hospll: for which use
Sallon is to be allowed himAnd it is further Ordered that this be
Reported & Recomended to the next Generall Court.
Mr. Rydoubt
Continued}
Ordered that Mr: Rydoubt be continued as the other principall Surgeon
for Cutting of the Stone for the like time.

Agreed that Women be placed in the New Wards next the Burning
and it is recomended to Mr; Trear to take care in the placeing of them in
such manner as he thinks most convenient.
