St. Thomas's Hospital [..] 12 May 1801
Sir
I am favoured with your Letters of the 7 & 9 Inst, thereis accom-
-panied by the monthly Account of the Colliery, that allen Covering
a Remittance for the Bervick Estate Etc. to Michmas last amountg
to £320.6.9 which is of come carried to your Credet. The
Finances of the Hospital being low it is not very convenient
for is to purchase Estate at this Time, nevertheless I am of
Opinion that Mr. Alders farm is more Valuable to us than to any
other Party, as from your Judecous observation it would completely
give us a Road to the Searoluens, & en Consequence for the duplicated
point at rest. But egerely £2200 or £2300 is too much money to
give for a rent of £90 P Arm: but as the Purchase occures desirable

with Hall; it appearing an important duly attaching to my
office to see that the Estates are properly lett (adhercy to prin-
-ciples the more laberal in fur our of the Tenants) I certainly shall
as all Terms endeavour. get every Information proper to
derect my Judgement on so empolyment a subject: well this

considerable attention in the Value of Estates has [..] place
witten the tans 12 Years & the question which would have the
most weighs with me as, Whether if a gust decrease in the value
had taken place they would have cormadend themselves obliged by
any honorary Contrast to have contained [..] sh confirms in the
