I am order'd by Mr: Treasurer to Acquaint you
that yours of the 17th: Inst: came to hand. it being contrary to his
Inclination to give any body trouble where it can reasonably be avoided
will give directions to Mr: Cruttenden to stay his proceedings in assurance
of your punctual compliance according to your own terms. But will
insist on Interest on the Fine from Midsumr: 1761. Agreeable
to the Notice that was given you the 19th: Sepr: 1761. by the then Receive
as you have made advantage of it yourself

sooner had I not been out of town but on Examining yr. Lease can
find no sort of room to grant your request althe the Treasurer
wod. be glad to oblige you yet in this case thinks it will be a
wrong thing to grant it

St: Thomas's Hospital July 29th: 1767 .

I recd: a Letter from you the 28th: April last: In
answer to one from me in which I informed you that the Contract
for your new Lease was ready to be sign'd. I shall be glad to know when
you propose being in Town and as there is Two Years and a half Rent
due last: Midsumr: shall be obliged to you if you will discharge the
Two Years. The Treasurer on looking over the Accounts a few days
days since asked me if I had wrote to you about the Arrears. I shall
be glad to know when you come to town that I may not be out of the
way.
