) the Gent. of the Grand Comittee desires
you will be so good as to speak with Mr Serocold who is the
present High Sheriff and Lives at Hinton and learn
of him in the best manner you can the true condition
& Circumstances of the Hospl. Estate there, which he has
long held under the late Sr

who have been the Lesses from the Hospl.
That you may be the better informed of the reason
of giving you this trouble and the more readily [..]
introduce your enquiry Inclose a letter to Mr. Serocold
and send it open for your perusal (which you will
please to Seal or give it him open as you shall
think most proper) you will see by the Letter that
a principal matter to ask after is a Sheep walk
concerning which Mr Serocold has not given Such
an Account in his Letters to me as might be
reasonably expected and the Governors are told
it is of much greater Value that he seems to
acknowledge. He is a Gent, of Good Sense and
fortune (as most probably you may know, and
when you come to talk with him til like he may
give a fuller Account of things than he cares to do
by Letter
