The King on the Prosecution

Joseph Wiliam Gommershall< no role > maketh Oath and
Saith That on Wednesday the Eleventh Day of September
Inst. This Deponent was taken into Custody or a
Charge of having sold a Quantity of Butter (of an
Inferiour Quality) to the Prosecutor at an Infinour
Price Prosecutor Declaring at same time That
He Wanted it to Mix with Stuff for the purpose of
making Candle. And Deponent further saith
That he taught said Butter wholesale of
Dealer and butter Factor living in Union Street
Southwark whose name Deponent is at present
Unacquainted with and has been detered from seeking
after by Overtunes being made to him in prison
Therefore prays Your Worship will postpone the
Tryal and admit me to bail (Good and sufficient
being lady) for the purpose of Bringing forward
The Man fo whom I Bought the Butter and
the Clerk on Cottons whereof where Prosecutor had
Purchased same
