To the Right Worshipfull his Majesty's
Justices of the Peace for the County Middlesex
at their General Sessions of the Peace assembled.

The humble Petition and Appeal of the
Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the Parish of Joychurch in the Level of
Romney Marsh in the County of Kent

Sheweth,


That by Virtue of an Order of Removal under
the Hands and Seals of G. Mercer and J. Mercer Esquires
two of his Majestys Justices of the Peace for the said County
of Middlesex , Joyce Pankhurst< no role > the wife of William
Parkhurst
< no role > and their three Children namely Mary< no role > , aged
Six Years, Eleanor< no role > aged near four years and Ann< no role > aged
Fourteen Months were removed from the Parish of Saint Mary
Le bone in the said County of Middlesex to the said Parish of
Joychurch the said Justices thereby adjudging that to be the
Place of the last legal Settlement of the said Joyce Pankhurst< no role >
and her said three Children

That your Petitioners conceive themselves aggrieved
by the said Order and Judgment of the said two Justices and
do humbly Appeal there from

Your Petitioners therefore most humbly pray
that your Worships would be Pleased to appoint
some Day in this present Session to hear this their
Appeal and to make an order that the Church
Wardens and Overseers office Poor of the said Parish
of Saint Mary lebone and all Parkers concerned in
and about the Promised may then and there hear
and abide the determination of your Worships that

And your Petitioners shall ever pray
