Middlesex to wit


The Information of Thomas Montague< no role > of Turkey
Street Enfield in the County of Middlesex Corn
Chandler and John Pepper< no role > of Stratford in the County
of Essex Labourer Taken on Oath this 22d. day of
April 1795 before me one of His Majestys Justices
of the Peace in and for the said County.

The said Thomas Montague< no role > saith That at sunday times lately
there has been stolen from his Barn and Premises in Turkey
Street aforesaid different quantities of Horse Pollard, Oats and
Pease his Property. and Particularly in the Night of the
Twenty fourth day of December last there was stolen from his
said Barn four Sacks of Peas his Property and this
Informant further saith that about a week afterwards Lee
Was told by one Mr. Setcoal a Farmer at Ponders End that
two Sacks belonging to this Informant were found in the
House of one Thomas Nightingale< no role > the Younger of Green Street
Enfield Highway and a suspicion fallingonupon the
Prisoner John Bridges< no role > under Examination who Kept
the White Heart Ponders End that he had bought the Peas
stolen out of this Informant's Barn on the Twenty fourth
day of December, a Warrant was granted to search the
Prisoner Bridges House and this Informant then found
about Two Bushel of Peas in a Binn in the Stable of
Bridge's which this Informant at that time thought (as
he also now thinks were his Property) but he cannot
positively Swean to them.

The said John Pepper< no role > voluntarily saith That among other Robberies
that he has been concerned in He this Informant and
Joseph Hobbs< no role > , Thomas Hare< no role > and Peter Row< no role > all then of
Enfield (but who have since absconded) robbed the said
Thomas Montague< no role > 's Barn on Christmas Morning last of two
of the Sacks of Peas. Hare and Hobs had a Key that
Unlocked the Door, they arrived at the Barn about
Three o'Clock in the morning and Hobs and Hare said
