LEWES
April [..]

An order has been issued form the War Once
for all officers absent from their Regiments to join
them by the latter end of this month, preparatory
to the encampments, which are to commence
early in May.

Last Friday the horse artillery quartered in
this town, wore marched into the Bowling-green ,
and there formed into a circle, for the purpose
of hearing the Articles of War, which their offi-
cers thought necessary to have read to them, in
consequence of some irregularities that bad hap-
pened an evening or two before.

Yesterday the North Fencible Regiment of
Highlanders, under the command of Lieutenant-
Colonel Wood FORD, were under arms, with
their cannon, to fire a royal falute, a nd three
Volties, in token of their attachment to their
King and the Royal Family, and to join in the
general joy of the nation on the happy event of
the Royal nuptials.

The [..] uild weather we have had for same days
past, has given a very visible start to vegetation.
The Meadow lands have recovered their na-
tural verdure, and we have no doubt will soon
Produce what is much wanting, a plentiful supply
of grass.

To Mr. APPLE BY,
DID every one know the goodness of your Tea, it would
not be in your power to supply them all with it. After I had
tried medicines, change of Air, Etc. Etc. Etc. all of which
availed me nothing, that a Pleasant Breakfast should do me
to much good, when nauseous draughts, pills, Etc. would not
with horrers, dreads, inward weaknesses, Etc Etc. can form
any idea of my complaints; and, from a poor fickly creature,
I thank God, am now strong and hearty, and rejoice that I
drank your invaluable Tea.

I am, Sir,
Your humble servant
SUSAN YOUNG< no role > .
