To The Worshipful His Majesty's Justices of the Peace acting in
and for the County of Middlesex in General Quarter Session of the
Peace Assembled.

The humble Petition of Joseph Wessels< no role > the
Younger .

Sheweth


That Your Petitioner by and with the Consent of his Father Joseph Wessels< no role >
of the Parish of Saint Sepulchre London Gentleman by Indenture bearing date
the thirtieth day of September one thousand seven hundred and eighty two was bound
Apprentice to John Mills< no role > of the Parish of Saint Clement Danes in the County
of Middlesex Apothecary for the Term of Seven years to learn his Art and with
him after the manner of an Apprentice to serve And the said John Mills< no role > in
Consideration of the Sum of one hundred and five pounds paid by your
Petitioners Father to the said John Mills< no role > (besides the duty to his Majesty
thereon amounting to Five pounds Five shillings) did thereby covenant
promise and agree to teach and in street or cause to be taught and
instructed Your Petitioner in the said Art of an Apothecary by the best
means that he could and to find and provide for your Petitioner sufficient
Meat Drink and Lodging during the said Term As by the said Indenture
will more fully appear.

That after Your Petitioner because so bound as an Apprentice the
said John Mills< no role > notwithstanding his said Agreement hath not
taught and instructed Your Petitioner in the said Art of an Apothecary but
hath altogether neglected so to do he the said John Mills< no role > not having
any Implements or Medicinal Preparations proper for the mixing or making up
of Medicines in the business of an Apothecary .

That when your Petitioner because so bound and for some time
afterwards the said John Mills< no role > kept an open Shop as an Apothecary in
Clare Street in the said parish And the said John Mills< no role > about three
Months ago removed to a private house in Carey Street in the said
parish and practises as a Man Midwife and keeps no open Shop
as an Apothecary there nor any sufficient Quantity of Medicinal
preparations for the mixing of Medicines as other persons carrying on
