County of Middx and to the Church Wardens and Overseers of
the poor of the Parish of Hemel hempstead
in the County of Hertford
and to each and every of them.

UPON the Complaint of the Church Wardens and Overseers of the
Poor of the Hamletof Pinner
In the County of Middlesex unto us Whose Names
are hereunto set and Seals affixed being two of his Majesty's Justices
of the Peace In and for the said County of Middlesex
and one of us of the Quorum that William Gates< no role > and Mary< no role >
his Wife and their Six Children Vizt. Daniel< no role > about fourteen
Years of Age William< no role > about thirteen Years of Age Ann< no role > about
Nine Years of Age Joseph< no role > about Seven Years of Age Thomas< no role >
about three Years of Age and James< no role > about Eighteen Months Old
did lately come to Inhabit in the said Hamlet of Pinner
not having gained a legal Settlement there, nor
produced any Certificate owning themselves to be settled else-
where, and that the Said William Gates< no role > and Mary his Wife
and their Six Children
are likely to be Chargeable to the Said
Hamlet of Pinner We the said
Justices upon due Proof made thereof, as well upon the Examination
of the Said William Gates< no role > upon Oath,
as otherwise, and likewise upon due Consideration had of the Pre-
mises, do adjudge the same to be true, and we up likewise adjudge,
that the lawful Settlement of them the Said William Gates< no role >
and Mary his Wife and Their Six Children
Is In the Said Parish of Hemelhemstead In the Said
County of Hertford We do therefore
require you the did Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
said Hamlet of Pinner or some, or
one of you to convey the said William Gates< no role > and Mary his
Wife and theer Six Children
from and out of your said Hamlet of Pinner
to the said Parish of Hamlhemstead and them
to deliver no the Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor there, or
to some, or one of them, together with this our Order, or a true Copy
thereof: And We do also hereby require you the Said Church-wardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Hemel hemstead
to receive and provide for them as Inhabitants of your
Parish Given under out Hands and Seals the Thirteenth
Day of September in the Year of our Lord One Thousand
Seven Hundred and Seventy Nine
