The Examination of John Magnus Hastfer< no role > a
Rogue and Vagabond apprehended in the Parish
of St. Luke in the said County and charged
and convicted before me upon the Oath of
Jonathan Bowman< no role > for pretending to tell
Fortunes, taken before me this 15th.
day of April 1778

Who being upon Oath says that he was born in Sweden, that
he is 51 years of age, that he has been in England about 22
years, that he has a Wife named Mary< no role > and seven Children,
that he was not bred to any Business or Profession, that
he rents a house of the Rent of ten Guineas a Year in
the said Parish of St. Luke where he has lived near 2
years
