Agreeable to Yor request I take the first Opportunity of Adressing Your
upon the Subject of our Conference and hope it meets you in good
health and that you find your Farms and Farmers in good plight,
and partake of the much wish'd for Showers We have been blessd
with since Monday; which, no doubt, will induccem to pay their
Rent more Chearfully.

Sir, when Imentioned the £3000 to two or three of the Gentleman
in the Commission who compose the Committee for repairing the
Prisons they seen to think £2000. the Value, considering the dead
Situation and in Case you should be dispossed to treat with the
Sessions on those Terms, the above Gentlemen will at our next
County day, recomend the purchasing of it at once other wise they
will then turn their thoughts to a different spot that now Offers

If you dispose of it to the Sessions you may be Assured that
Nothing will be done to distress your Tenants but that a full year
will be given to provide themselves

I have been carefull to observe your Direction with respect to
privacy, and request the like as to what passes between your self and
me, in Order to avoid Clame least I may be thought too forward in
promoting the contract, however benificial I may Apprehend to be for the
County as well as your self, Whose most Obedient and Obliged Servt.
