The Voluntary Examination and Information
of John Glover< no role > taken the 11th Day of Decr 1767

This Informant being examined upon Oath Saith
that last Sunday Morning about four o'Clock in
John Curd< no role > proposed to this Informant and Richard
Johnson
< no role > & James Curd< no role > to go a fishing and they
took the Boat & not and went to fish in the River
Lea near the Hill Ferry calld Glovers Ferry
That as soon as they had got cross the Water
Johnson (who is nick named Goose) sayd Dann
Fishing I know where we can get Fowlswhich
& proposed going up to Walthamstow to Steal
Poultry which was declined by this Dept.
& his two Brothers Curd and then the said Johnson
proposed taking a Sheep in a field next the
Oll Mills & accordingly they drove up a flock
to the Corner but they broke into the March
That they then went into the next Field &
saw and then Flock two on three of which
were Ewes & Lambs they drove them up
to the Corner of the field next the gate and
Johnson took up one Sheep ty'd its less & carried
it to the gate & then this Depont. took
it and they all by turnd carried it
home to the Ferry house and let them
selves in & Goose Carried into the Cellor
assisted by this Examinants' sayd brothers
and there killd it And this Informant
