Quorum having met together, and heard the Complaint of the Overseers of the Poor
of that part of the Parish of St. Andrew Holborn
which his above the Barrs in the
Said County Concerning a Male Bastard Child Born in the Workhouse
in Grays Inn

belonging to the said part of the said Parish, on the Body of

And likely so to Continue, Do find upon Examination of the said Jane Humfreys
Taken before us upon Oath on the twelfth day of June Instant (being after the Exapura

Complaint, and shew Cause why He shou'd not be Adjudged the Putative Father of the
Said Bastard Child And the said

to shew andy Cause to the poutrary We therefore upon Examination of the Cause, and Circumstance of the
Premises as well upon the Oath of the said Jane Humfreys as otherwise do hereby Adjudge
Him the said

to be the Putative Father of the said Male Bastard Child
And do Order, and Appoint Him forthwith upon Notice of this our Order to Pay or
Cause to be Paid to the said Overseers of the Poor or to some or one of them the sum of
Six Poundsof Lawfully Money of Great Britain Already
By them Expended for Relief and Maintenance of the said Male Bastard Child, & for the
Charges of the said Jane Humferys Lying in, and for other Charges, and Expences
Attending the same as also That He the said

shall Weekly and every
Week from henceforth pay or Cause to be paid to the said Overseers, of the Poor or to some
Or one of them the Sum of Two Shillings & Six Pence
Of like Lawfull Money for and towards The Relief and Maintenance of the said Male
Bastard Child for so longtime as the same shall Remain Chargeable to the said Parish
Given under our Hands and Seals the fifteenth day of June one Thousand seven
