Matthew Clarke< no role > Keeper of the Gate House Prison at Westminster
maketh Oath that the above named Defendant Edward Collies< no role > being committed
by Sir John Fielding< no role > Knight some time in the Month of April last for assaulting
and wounding oneand detained by the same Justice for robbing one
James Vigne< no role > on the kings highway of a metal Watch & other Things [..] he continued
in this Deponents Custody thereupon tole Wednesday the eleventh day of this instant
May when he with one William Matthison< no role > in the Evening of that Day broke
through the Stone wall of the said Prison under the Gateway leading into [..]
Tothill Street Westminster and from there more this Escape put by the Diligence and search of this Deponents
and the persons employed by this Deponent the said Edward Collins< no role > was retaken
the next day and being conied on the thirteenth of this instant may before the
said Sir John Fielding< no role > he was then committed by the said Justice to this Majesties
