The Information of David Jones< no role > & Will Allen< no role > taken
before [..] us two of his Majesty Justices of the Peace for
the said County.

Who being see you Oath say & first this Inst. David Jones< no role >
for him selt saith. That Yesterday in the afternoon her
went to see his Son in law who keeps the Wells at
Pancras and JoinedinCompany with the sd. Willch. Allen< no role > & stand there till
about Ten O'Clock and as there Insts. were coming over
the fields the Inst saw two men now Present who calls
themselves William Mathias< no role > & James Backley< no role > in a field
facing the Bowling Green house and the sd. W. & James
crossed the field one of them having which in his hand
and there Ins was apprehensive that the design of the sd two
Men was bad and this Ins saith he was a litch behind
the other Inst. Out heard one of the Men who he thinks
was the said Mathias say to the said Allen" your Money
with an Imprecation and directly Mr Allen was Engaging
the said Mathias & Bailley And this Inst. a sisted him
about Ten Minutes time the Ins who was Engaged with
Barkley & the other Ins had secure'd the sd. Mathias
and Whis a they were binding there hands one of the sd.
Men declared that their Intention was to late their
Money And this Ins secured the sd Barkley & brought
him out of this field & delivied him to the Constable
but the said Mathias made his Escape from the other
Informt. And this Ins Wm. Allen for himself saith
That he met with the other Ins at Precas wells assd
and aboat Ten O'Clock they left the sd. house to return
home & in a fuld as before discribed [..] he saw the sd
