< no role > Esqrs two of his Majesty's Justices of
the Peace in and for the said Liberty one whereof is
of the Quorum, and both residing next unto the Limits of
the Parish Church within the Parish of St. George Hanover
Square in the said Liberty
made the third Day of November
in the Third Year of the Reign of his said
Majesty King George theSecond third concerning a Female
Bastard Child, lately born in the Parish of St. George Hanover
Square aforesaid, of the Body of Phillis Greenhouse< no role > This name instance is in set 390. This set is in the group(s): MothersPS .

WHEREAS it hath appeared unto us the said Justices, as well upon the Com-
plaint of the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of St. George
Hanover Square as upon the Oath of the said Phillis Green house
that she the said Phillis Green house on the 17th Day of
August now last past, was delivered of a Female Bastard Child at the
Lyin Inn Hospital in the said Parish of St. George Hanover Square in the said
Liberty and that the said Female Bastard Child is likely to be chargeable
to the said Parish of St. George Hanover Square and further, that Robert
Muggeridge
< no role > of Banstead , in Surry in the saiddid beget the said
Bastard Child on the Body of her the said Phillis Greenhouse And whereas
The said Robert Muggeridge< no role > , hath been Summoned, but hath not shewn,
Sufficient Cause why he should not be adjudged the reputed
Father of the said Female Bastard Child
We therefore, upon Examination of the Cause and Circumstance of the Premises as well
upon the Oath of the said Phillis Greenhouse as otherwise, do hereby
adjudge him the said Robert Muggeridge< no role > to be the reputed Father of the said
Bastard Child.

And thereupon we do order, as well for the better Relief of the said Parish of St. George
Hanover Square as for the Sustentation and Relief of the said Bastard Child, that the
said Robert Muggeridge< no role > shall and do forthwith and Overseers of the Poor of the said
Parish of St. George Hanover Square or to some or one of them the Sum of Two pounds Eleven Shillings
for and towardsthe [..] in of the said andthe Maintenance
of the said Bastard Child, to the Time of making this our Order

And we do also hereby further order, that the said Robert Muggeridge< no role > shall likewise
pay or cause to be paid, to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of
St. George Hanover Square for the Time being, or to some or one of them, the Sum of
Two Shillings & Six pence Weekly and every Week from the present Time, for and towards the
keeping, Sustentation, and Maintenance of the said Bastard Child, for and during so long
time as the said Bastard Child shall be chargeable to the said Parish of St. George Hanover
Square And we do further Order that the said Phillis Greenhouse< no role > shall also pay or
cause to be paid to the said Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of
for the Time being, or to some or one of them, the Sum of Six pence Weekly
and every Week, so long as the said Bastard Child shall be chargeable to the said Parish of
St. George Hanover Square in case she shall not nurse and take Care of the said Child herself.
Given under our Hands and Seals the Day and Year abovewritten.
