Edward Cooper< no role > of Hayes in Kent says that on the aforesaid 7th. May
about 8 o' Clock, [..] in the Evening he was coming from Windson to
London driving a Chaize -Marine in which were many Valuable
and a Woman on the Seat of the said Chaize Marine, and one Mr.
William Roberts< no role > Servant to the Honble Mr. Secretary Pitt on
Horseback who had the Charge and guard of the sd. Chaize-Marine
and on Hounslow Heath a Waggon with several Chairmen in it
was on the said Road which bore toward the Chaize, and the sd, William
Roberts
< no role > stept in between to prevent as he apprehends the Waggon's bearing upon the
Chaize, and then the Chaize past the Waggon, and soon after the
Waggon overtook the Chaize, he further saith that one of the
Chairmen shock a Stick at the said William Roberts< no role > at about four
or five Yards Distance in a threatening Manner, and attempted to
get out of the Waggon.
