Life he set out the next dayafter he had Obtained
his Liberty that is to Say on the fifteenth day of November 1753 or there abouts for Ireland wherehis fortune principally
lay in Order to repair his Condition and to get in Money to be himself
right and to bring the aforesd. Persons to Justice believing that no further
Prosecution would be Carryed on in this Cause in regard his Majesty's
sd. Secretary at War was pleased to Certifye to his Majesty's Attorney
General that he looked upon the same to be Malicious And Depont. saith that he embark'd at Park gate where he had been detain'd some day for a Wind on or about the last day of November
aforesd. & arrived at Dublin the second of December last in Company with many Passengers on Board a Ship Commanded by Captain John
Mathews
< no role > of Park gate aforesd. & having continued at Dublin All sd. Decr: and the Month of January following Depont. the letter end of sd. January
sett out for London but being obliged to go back [..] Dept remained inDublin till the Seventeenth of February on which day Depont. [..] back
at Dublin early in the Morning on Board a Ship Commended by Capt Ormond & Landed that Hight at Holy head with Arthur Mervyn< no role > of Pall mall Esquire and
others who travelled with [..] from thence to Chester where Depont. concerned for some time on Affairs he had to [..] there And Deponent
Saith that after Depont. was gone to Ireland and whilst Deponent was in
that Kingdom the said Sweatman who had been on a Scheem for that
purpose Confined as an Evidence in New prison Clerkenwell by the
means and Stratagem of the said Rowe Bucknall and Scott as Dept.
believes and was by them or one of them maintained and Supported
there as Depont. believes and doubts not to be able to Prove was bailed
out And Depont. Saith that his being so Bailed was without Deponents
knowledge procuremt. or privity or did Depont. know as hear thereof
being then and for some time before and after in Ireland for the purposes
afsd. untill after he Arriv'd in London after furnishing himself with
necessary's and means to bring his said Adversarys and Conspirators
to Justice and Depont. Saith that in a few days after his sd. Arrival
and not before Deponent was Inform'd that said Sweatman havinghaving
been Enlarged and having had a quarrel or difference with sd. Rowe
about the Money which he had promised to pay him for Swearing agt.
Depont. as aforesd. got a Confession or recantacon drawn up and went to Swear
the same whilst Depont. was in Ireland as aforesd. before same of his
Majesty's Justices for Westminster Setting forth the methods used to draw
him in to Swear agt. Depont. [..]
[..] and designed to have the
same with some of Deponts Acquaintance and believes that sd. Sweatman
did afterwards write over the sd. Confession or revantacon and signed it
before persons of Creditt and went to Swear it before the Right
Honourable the Lord Mayor who refused to give him his Oath as Dept.
is Inform'd and believes and Saith that he believes he soon after soon away
