Peters in the County of Hertford Given before me Richard Copper< no role > John Fielding< no role > Esqr .
one of his Majestys Justices of the peace for theSaidCounty of Midx [..]
this Fourteenthsecondday of June 1754 who upon his Oath Saith that on Tuesday
the 28th. day May Last about ten of the Clock in the Evening as
near as hee Can Guess as to the Time as hee Was Comeing from London
to Go to his owne House. two Men on Horse back att a place
Called Brent Bridge on the other side of Edger mett the Informant
upon the Road and one of them Crossd the Road upon time upon which the
Informant asked him to hat he Meant by itt upon Which the other
man [..] Said lett him go I take him to be an Honest man thereupon
the Informant thought no more of them but Comeing up Stanmore
will near to Bushey Heath the Same two persons rid by him and
when the Informant Came near to the Heath Where Mr Parara the
Jew Lives one of the Persons to as on foot under the Trees holding his
Horss in his handand the Informantand the Informant Ridering on
the other person whom he Saw att Brent Bridge was Sitting upon his
Mare upon the Road betwixt the trees where the other man Was and
the Brew house that is near Stanmore; and than Stopt the Examinant
and bid him deliver his Money or he would Blow his Brains out
upon Which the Informant told him he had no money and then the Said
Person told him he knew he had and that itt was in a Bagg and
demanded itt of him and Clapt a Pistoll to the Informants Brest and
than demanded his watch which the Informant told him he had u Watch
upon Which the person putt his hand to the Wast band of his Breeches
and finding he had now he then Jusisted to deliver to him what
Money he had which was Nine pence half penny Which the Informant
delivered to him and than the Person Rid off Saith that in about
Four or Five Minutes after as near as he Can Guess as to the time
the Mare he beleives upon Which the Person Rode that Robbed the Examinant
Came after the Informant Without his Rider and followed the Informant
to the Town of Bushey Where the Examinant delivered the Mare to
Marke Cook< no role > who Keeps the Red Lyon in Bushey and this Informantis
[..]
Positive to the Mare by reason of the Saddle Cloth or Houseing which
was upon or under the Sadle as being a Very remarkable one Which

the Informant took Notice of when he was Robbed as aforesaid and believes the person that Robbed him to be
Twenty years of age or upwards and More Saith not.
