The Information of Charles France< no role > taken before
me this 27th. day of September 1753.

Who being upon oath Says, that he is the Son of Dotloff
Christopher Krause< no role > late Cook to the Right Honourable the Earl of Harrington, who was
lately Robb'd and Murdered in the Kings Road , as he was coming from Petersham , And
Says that on Monday the 17th. of this Instant September, he was at Petersham
with his Father , and that about half an hour after two in the afternoon, this
Informant's Father, ordered this Informant, and one Mr. James Styles< no role > , to go
to London , by the way of Kensington, and he the said Dotloff, would go the
Kings Road , because he was afraid it would be too late for him to go the
other way, That as soon as he got home, he was told that his Mother was
gone to Golden Square , and had left Word for this Informant to follow her,
That he went accordingly, and which he was there, a Message came to his
Mother, that his Father was taken Ill and Desired her to come home,
Says that this Informant soon afterwards went home, and found his Father
lying in Bed very Ill, And upon this Informant asking him what was
the Matter, his Father told him he had been Robbd by two Men in the
Kings Road, who came on each side of him like two Devils, pulled
him off his House, Robbed him of Seven Guineas and a Half, and his
Watch, and Stamp'd upon him, Says that his Father likewise Declared
that he beleived he had Wounded the said two Men with his Knife, but
Especially one of them, he is very Sure off, for that as he was lying
under him, he felt the Blood Run from the Man very Hott Upon him,
said that the Men was in Dark Coloured Cloathes, And this Informant
further says, that whilst he was at Petersham on the Monday on which
