At the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our Sovereign Lord the King holden for the County of
Middx at Hicks Hall in Saint John Street in the County aforesaid by adjournment on Thursday the
fourth day of July in the twenty fifth year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the second
king of Great Britain Etc before Thomas Lane< no role > George Garrett< no role > William Withers< no role > William Caston< no role >
Esquires and other their Fellows Justices of our said Lord the king assigned to keep the Peace in
the County aforesaid and also to hear and determine divers Felonies Trespasses and other Misdeeds
committed in the same County.

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Thundridge in the County
of Hertford exhibited their humble Petition and Appeal unto this Court at this Present General
Quarter Session of the Peace begun and holden for the County of Middx on Monday the first day of
July instant againstan Order under the hands and Seals of Merry Teshmaker< no role > and
Pierce Galliard< no role > Esquires tow of his Majestys Justices of the Peace for the said County of Middx bearing date
the fifteenth day of May One thousand seven hundred and fifty one (whereof one is of the Quorum) Whereby Elizabeth< no role >
the Wife of Thomas Tyth< no role > otherwise Tide< no role > whose Maiden name was Elizabeth Clarke< no role > with her three
Children by the said Thomas Tyth otherwise Tide his Settlement being unknown vizt. John< no role > Thomas< no role > and Michaell< no role > were removed from the Parish of Enfield in the said County
of Middx to the said Parish of Thundridge as the Place of their last legal Settlement whereby the
Petitioners think themselves aggrieved and appealed to this Court against the same Whereupon it was
by an Order made by this Court on the said first day of July instant Ordered that the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Enfield should have notice of the said Appeal and that
they and all Persons concerned should attend this Court on this Present Thursday the fourth day of July
instant at ten of the Clock in the Forenoon to hear and abide the Judgment and determination of
this Court touching the said Appeal, the aforesaid Session being now on the same day holden by
adjournment for the said County of Middx Now upon hearing of what was alledged by Councel for the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Thundridge and also by Councel for the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Enfield Forasmuch as it appeareth to this
Court that the said Order of the said two Justices of the Peace is defective in not mentioning that the
said Thomas Tyth otherwise Tide whose Settlement is unknown is run away and left her the said
Elizabeth It is Ordered by Consent of the Councel on both Sides that the said Order be amended by
therein mentioning that the said Thomas Tyth otherwise Tide whose Settlement is run away and
left her the said Elizabeth and the said Order being accordingly amended and the Councel for the said
Appellants Praying that the hearing of the said Appeal may be adjourned This Court doth accordingly
adjourn the hearing thereof And doth Order that the aforesaid Order of removal be confirmed unless
the said Appellants do (upon Notice of this Order) shew to the Court of the next General Session of
the Peace to be holden for the said County of Middx by adjournment on Tuesday the the tenth day
of September next at ten of the Clock in the Forenoon good Cause to the Contrary
