The Information of Wm Tew< no role > of
South barrow in Kent Soapmaker
taken before me this 5th. June 1749.

This Informant upon his Oath says that on the 3d
of June Instant he delivered [..] twelve Banells of Crown
Soap to Daniel by burn the Servant of this informt. with
Orders to the said Daniel to carry the same the Soap Shop in
Rose [..] street in Newgate to Markett which Shop is kept by
one Nathaniel Roffey< no role > This name instance is in a workspace. , says that the said Nathaniel
Contracted with this Informt. for the said Soap at four pounds
Eighteen Shillings per Barrell, Says that one George
Lee< no role > as this Informt. was Informed by the said Daniel
Wyburn< no role > and verily beleives the same to be true felonously
took and Carryed away the said Soap out of the possesuron
of the said Daniel And that the said George Lee< no role > afterwards
Conveyed away the said Soap into the house of Wm. Minshall< no role >
a Taylor in Southampton Buildings Chancery Lane
in the Parish of St. Andrews Holborn where the said
Soap was upon a Search Warrant found by this Informt.
And this Informt. Utterly denys that he ever agreed with
the said George Lee< no role > to Sell the said Soap to the said
George or to any other Person thatthan to the abovesaid
Nathaniel Roffey< no role > This name instance is in a workspace. , but says that the said Soap was
feloniously taken by the said George in the manner as
above in order to Defraud him this Informt. of the same
