Whereas due Proof hath been made before usRobt. Tothill< no role > &
Francis Hole< no role > Esqrstwo of Majesty's Justices of the Peace
for the saidCounty (Whereof one is of the Quorum,) inhabiting in or near the
Parish ofHeston in the said Countyupon the
Oath ofAnn Evans< no role > Single Womanthe Mother of aFemaleBastard Child,
Born [..] in the said Parish of
Heston in the sd. CountyThat one John Bayley< no role > of the
Parish of Isle worth Gardenerdid beget on the Body of
the saidAnn Evans< no role > the saidFemaleBastard Child, which said
Child is now become Chargeable to the said Parish ofHeston
(of which the Church Wardens and Overseers of the Poor have complained.) First, we the
said Justices, upon Examination of the saidAnn Evans< no role > the Mother
upon Oath, touching the Father of the saidFemaleBastard Child, and the Cause and
Circumstance thereof; Do hereby adjudge and declare the saidJohn Bayley< no role >
to be the reputed Father of the saidFemaleBastard Child, born of the
Body of the saidAnn Evans< no role > in the said Parish ofHeston

And thereupon We do Order, as well for the Relief, and to save harm-
less, and keep indemnified the said Parish ofHeston [..] as for the
maintaining and keeping the saidFemaleBastard Child; That the saidJohn Bayly< no role >
do forthwith, upon Sight of this our Order, (a true Copy thereof
being first Delivered unto him) pay, or cause to be paid, unto the Church Wardens, or
Overseers of the Poor for the Time being, of the said Parish ofHeston
or to some, or one of them,the sum of three pounds three
shillings and Seven pence for the [..] maintainance
of the said Female Child Born on the Body.
of the said Ann Evans< no role > for the Space of Four weeks and
the other legal & necessary Expences of the Officers of the
Parish of Heston
and the saidJohn Bayley< no role > shall likewise pay, or cause to be paid Weekly,
and every Week, to the said Church Wardens, or Overseers of the Poor, or some or one of
them, the Sum oftwo Shillings & Six penceof lawful Money of Great-
Britain, for, and towards the Relief and Maintenance of the saidFemaleBastard Child,
for so long Time as the said Child shall be Chargeable to the said Parish ofHeston

And lastly, we do order that the saidJohn Bayley< no role >
shall forthwith give Security, to the Church Wardens and Overseers of the Poor for the Time
being, of the said Parish ofHeston for the true Performance of
GeneralQuarterSessions of the Peace, to be holden for the saidCounty
there to abide such further Order, as the Justices then and there
Present, shall think fit to make in that behalf; and if no such Order shall be there made,
then to abide this present Order.
