To the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the Parish of Saint George in the County of Middlesex
And to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish of St. John of Wapping in the Said County

Whereas Complaint hath been made unto us his
Maties Justices of the Peace of the Said County (One being
of the Quorum) by the Churchwardens and Overseers of the
Poor of the Parish of St. George abovesaid that Margaret
Karr
< no role > an Insant aged about two year's and whelse was
lately brought into the Said Parish endeavouring to
Settle her there contrary to Law And it appearing to us
that Isabella Karr< no role > the late wife of Christopher Karr< no role >
a Soldier and also the late mother of the Said Child is
dead and he now at Gibralter therefore we adjudge
the Said Margaret Karr the Said Insant Child likely
to become chargable to the Said Parish And whereas
if further appearreth unto us the Said Justices
of the Peace upon Examinacon taken upon Oath
that the Said Margaret Karr the Said Insants Childs
legal Settlement is in the Parish of Saint John
of Wapping abovesaid which we Defind and Adjudge
to be True and where by Saw she is to be Sent

These are therefore in his Maties Name to
Will and require You to Convey and pess the Said
Margaret Karr< no role > from your Said Parish of Saint
George to the Parish of St. John of Wepping abovesaid
And deliver her to the Churchwardens & Overseers
of the Poor there or to Same or one of them Who
are hereby required to provide for her According to
Law: Given under our hands and Seales this 15th
day of April Anno Dom 1784
