And to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the
Poor of the Parish of Ewelme in the County
of Oxford And to every of them And to all
others whom these may Concern

Whereas it appeareth unto us two of his Maties. Justices of the
Peace for the said County of Middx (Quorum Unus) by the
Complaint of the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the Parish of Hornsey in the said County of Middx That
Amy Button< no role > Widdow of Thomas Button< no role > desed is lately some
and intraded into the said Parish of Hornsey Endeavouring
to gain a Settlement there contrary to Law and is likely to
become a great charge to the said Parish (if not speedily
Prevented) And Whereas upon the Examinacon of Martha
Ford
< no role > Wife of Thomas Ford< no role > of the said Parish of Hornsey
Labourer it appeareth unto us upon Oath That the sd
Thomas Button< no role > her late Brother was last legally
Settled in the Parish of Ewelme in the said County of
Oxford and that he hath not since obtained any legal
Settlement else where Therefore wee the said Justices
upon the proof aforesaid and other Circumstances
Doe adjudge and Deem the place of the last legal
Settlement of the said Thomas Button< no role > to be in the said
Parish of Ewelme in the said County. Oxford and whether
the said Amy Button< no role > his Widdow ought by Law
to be sent

These are therefore in his Maties. Name
Strictly to charge and Comand you and every of you forthwith
upon sight here of to Remove and Coney the said Amy
Button
< no role > from and out of the said Parish of Hornsey
in and to the said Parish of Ewelme in the said County
of Oxford and to deliver her (together with this presept
to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor there
or to some or one of them who are hereby required to
receive and Provide for her according to Law Hereof
faile not at your Perills Given under hands and
Seales this Nine and Twentieth days of October
in the Fourth Yeare of the Reign of our Soveraign
Lord Georgo by the grase of God of Great Britain
France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith Etc
