Edmonton
in the County Middx
and near Neighbours

in the said Parish to hereby humbly
Certify To the Right Worshipfull his Maties Justices of
the peace for the County of Middx That we do know & are
very well acquainted with the Said James Skegg< no role >
for above
Seaven Years last past & that he now rents a farm
in
the said parish between twenty & thirty pounds P Ann
& hath always behav'd himself in his Neighbourhood honestly
& Justly and never was reputed a person guilty of Stealing
of Wood out of his Maties Chase of Endfield
or any other
place whatsoever to the best of one knowledge but hath
taken great pains & Industry to maintain himself Wife
and two Small Children And in Case he had any time
upon his hands otherwise than what was required about
the Said Farm he diligently applied himself to any other
labour in the sd neighbourhood that he could honestly
get a penny by for the Maintenance of his Said Wife
and poor Children In Witness whereof we have
