Know all Men by these presents That ISR: Thomas Dereham< no role > of
West Dereham in the County of Norfolke Barronett Have made ordained constitute
and appointed and by these presente doe make ordaine constitute and appoint
Edward Benton< no role > of Shere Lane in the parish of St Dunstans in the West in the County of
Middlesex gentleman my lawfull Attorney for me and in my Place and stead at the General Quarter Sessions of
the Peace to be held for the County of Middx next after the date hereof in Open Sessions to
subscribe my name to the Registry or entry which I have desired the Clerke of the
Peace of and for the County of Middx or his lawfull Deputy to make of my name and of
my Estate in a Messuage or Tenement together with the Ground whereon the same is erected &
build scituate and being in Buckingham Street in York buildings in the parish of St Martin
in the Feilds in the County of Middlesex afd: and also of a peice of Ground whereon is erected
and built a messuage or Tenement in the possession of Major Bletchington scituate and
being in Buckingham Street in York buildings afsd. In pursuance of the late Act of
parliament intituled and Act to Oblige Papists to Register their names and real
Estates And Further I the said Sr: Thomas Dereham doe authorize the [..]
Edward Benton for me and in my name place and stead to doe execute and performe wh [..]
may be necessary or is required by the said late Act for duely Registring my name and State
aforesd. as fullq to all intents construrens and purposes whatsoever as I the said Sr: Thomas Dereham might
or could doe the same being personally present And whatsoever my said Attorney shall
doe in or about the Premisses I the said Sr: Thomas Dereham Shall ratifye confirme and
allow as if Im my own person had done the same. In Witnesse whereof I the sd.
Sr: Thomas Dereham have here unto Sett my hand and Seale this thirty first day of May in
the seventh yeare of the Reigne of His Majestye King George annoqr Dui 1721.
