Whereas it appeareth unto us, whose hands
and seals are hereunto sett, two of her Mati. Justices
of the Peace of the County of Middx (Quorom urres)
upon the Complaint of the Church Wardens and
Overseers of the Poor of Hampton Town in the
said County That a certain Male Infant Child,
was lately secretly left in the said Term, which
hath already been, and is likely to become further
chargable to the said Town, And Whereas it
appeareth unto us by the Examinatcon of
Elizabeth Evens< no role > upon Oath, that the said child
was lately borne in the Leberty or Hambett of
Hampton Wick in this County in the house of
Daniel Merchant< no role > , and it otherwise appearing unto
us by the examination before by us taken of the
Mother, that the said Male Infant Child is a
Bastard wherefore wee do adjudge the said
Male Infant child to be legally Setled in the said
Leberty or Hambett of Hampton Wick, and that
lee is likely to became further Chargable to that
part of Hall Parish called the Town of Hampton
These are therefore in her Matr. named to Command
you forthwith to receive and County the said
Male Infant Bastard child, from that part of the
parish of Hampton called Hampton Towns, to that
part of the same parish called Hampton Wick
in this County, and deliver him unto the Church
Wardens and Overseer of the Poor there, who
are hereby required to provide for him according
to Law. Given under our hands and seals the
20th. of January Anno Domini 1712
