To the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the
Pish of Southmims in the Sd County of Middx: And
Churchwarderns and Overseers of the poor of the
of Chipping Barnet in the County of Hertford
and to every of them

Whnithwn

Whereas itt appeares unto us two of her Majties. Justices
the peace for the Sd County of middx (Quorum unns)
upon Complaint of the Churchwardens and Overseers
the poor of the Sd Pish of South mins That a Male
Insant about six months old was lately brought into
the said Pish of South mins with intent to have [..]
the said Jusant there contrary to Law and is [..]
chargeable to the Sd Pish And whereas it appeares
unto us the Sd Justices upon due Examinacon of sevll.
Credible Wittnesse upon Oath (as well as otherwise) that
the said Jusant was for Severall days and night before
it was so brought into the Sd Pish of Southmims the
and Releived at the House of one John Cripps< no role > in the
said Pish of Chipping Barnet and there Cloathed wth.
the wearing Cloths of the Sd Cripps Childe; And mat
the said Infant was taken up in the Queen high way
wthin the said Pish of Chipping Barnet far a Vagrant)
by Thomas Crouchley< no role > one of the Headboroughs of the said
Pish, and carryed to the House of the Sd Jn: Cripps< no role > , and
there changed to be Kept till He could take further
Care abt. the Same: And that before the Sd Headboroughs
would Domane the Sd Infant the next morning, the
Pish Officers of the Sd Pish of Chipping Barnet had
Setiled or sent or the same away; and by Coutrie and
of the sd Officers or Some of them the said Infant
was [..] fully brought the same day into the aforesd
Pish of Southmims, without any Pass, Wart. or Order
Ese to doe: We the Sd Justices in Consideracon of the
Prunsee. doe therefore adjudge the Sd Infant to be
Regully settled in the aforesd Pish of Chipping Barnet
where the Sd Infant was so taken up as a Vagrants and
there Maintained and Releived as aforesd, and not
any ways removed from theme according to Law
Three are therefore in her Majtes. Name to Order
require you the Chruchwardens and Overseers of the
poor of the said Pish of Southmins Forthwth to the
Remove and Couvey the Sd Infant from yor. Sd.
Parish to the aforesd Pish of Chipping Barnet
and there Deliver him to the Churchwardens and
Oversees of the poor of the Sd Pish or to Some one
of them, who are hereby required to provide
for the Sd Infant according to Law: Given under
our Hands and Sealer this 10th. day of January
