WHEREAS Complaint hath been made unto Us, whose Hands and
Seals are hereunto set, Two of Her Majesties Justices of the
Peace of theCounty of Middx
(Quorum unus) by the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
HamblettofSpittlefeilds in ye pish of Stepny in the said County, that
Dorcas Mans Wife of Thomas Maul< no role > & theire Child
Named Hester-Aged abt. two Months are

lately come into the saidHamblettendeavouring to settle
themselvesthere, without giving Notice in Writing to the said
Church-Wardens, or Overseers of the Poor, or any one of them of the House
oftheireabode in the saidHamblettaccording to
the Statute in that Case made and provided; And that it also appears unto
us by the Complaint of the said Church-Wardens and Overseers or the
Poor of the saidHamblett-ofSpittlefeilds -thatthey are
likely to become chargeable to the saidHamblett-And whereas it ap
peareth unto Us the said Justices, upon the Oath of the saidDorcas
Maul

thather father islast legally settled in thepishofAlsaints
alo Alhallows in the Burrow of Hartford in the County
of Hartford where the Father of ye said Dorcas lives
& is of ability to Maintaine her & her child according to the
Statute in ye Case made & we doe adjudge them Settled there
These are therefore in Her Majesties Name straitly to Charge and Com
mand you, and every of you, forthwith, upon fight hereof, to remove and
convey the saidDorcas-Maul & her said Child to the
Father of the said Dorcas. Maul & grandfather to the
said Child from ye said Hamblett. to the [..] of
and deliverthen in the Said County of Hartford to ye Father & grandfatherunto the Church-Wardens, and Overseers of the
Poor there, who are hereby required to provide forthem
according to Law: Hereof fail not at your Perils, Given under our Hands
and Seals, theNinthday ofJuly Anno Dom 1711
