Examination of John Mouchell< no role > of Enfeild in the
County of Middx taken this 9th. day of June Ranna
Mr Brick: of Anno Dui 1709.

This Examinant saith upon oath That he loset off of
Enfield Chase Two colts ye 2d day of [..] June
1708, The one was a bay brown with a mealy note & the other dirty
black with a star in his forehead. of about 2 year
old. But who stole them he knows not.

Thomas How< no role > of Enfeild saith upon Oath that George Adams< no role >
brought to Mis Exemt. house (he then keeping a
publick house) a buy brown Colt will mealy note
in June 1708 & tyed it up till he went onto the comen
to take up another wth. he pretended to be his own. And
soon after returned with another colt of a dirty black colour
with a starr in this forehead & pretended that he lived
in Enfeild highway And further he. saith not.

Robt. Bridgman< no role > of Enfeild saith oath, That
he this Examinant. being at a publick house in Enfeild
Chare George Adams< no role > came up to the house with a
Couple of Coly, & that Thomas Latham< no role > challanged one
of them as his Colt, a that George Adams< no role > made Answer
that he thought it was his own, The other Colt was a dirty
black colour with a Starr in this forehead. And
that the sd George them prtended he lived at Cheston
& that his name was George Wiven< no role >
