The humble Peticonr of the Churchwardens
of the Parish of St. James Clerkenwell in

That by Warrant under the hands and Seales of
Srs. James Smith< no role > Knt : and Thomas Smith< no role > Esqr
two of his Majesties Justices of the Peace of this County
bearing date the Twentieth day of July Last Elizabeth
Combes
< no role > wth: three Children (whoe had been Chargeable to
Your Peticonrs:) were passed and conveyed to the Churchwarden
or Overseers of the poore of the Parish of Finchley in this
County (where they were last legally settled) And were delivered
to the Overseer of the poor there as appeareth by Note
hereunto annexed wth said Overseer doth Refuse to take
care & provide for the said Elizabeth Combs< no role > & her
said Children But on the contrary Sent them back
to your peticonrs. where they now continue.
