"Health" The Committee were informed That several persons h [..]
made their Escape out of one of the Wards on the Mens Side in [..]
Prison by cutting their way through the Walls thereof and it
being recommended by the Surveyor to have all the Walls of [..]
Wards secured with Non Hoops and Sheathed with Oak Shea [..]
in order to prevent an Escape in future Your Committee
Ordered the Wards in New Prison to be Secured and Sheathed
the manner abovementioned under the direction of the Surveyor

The said Committee Further Report

That being informed by Mr. Elmore Haper< no role > of [..]
New Prison he is obliged for the safe Custody of those persons
committed to his charge to employ two persons at his own Expe [..]
to sit up each Night to Patrole and Watch the Prison Your
Committee recommend it to the Court to allow Mr, Elmore
to provide and Employ a person with a Lanthorn and Candle
at the Expence of Fourteen pence each Night to Patrole Cry th [..]

Your Committee further Report

That being informed by Mr, Eyles he had recei [..]
Notice from the Westminster Insurance Office that the Term fo [..]
which Hicks Hall had been Insured was Expired Your
Committee Resolved That Mr. Eyles do immediately insur [..]
Hicks Hall in the names of some of His Majestys Justices of
the peace for this County in the said Office at the value of Three
Hundred Pounds

The said Committee further Report

That Mr. Hall Governor of the House of Correct [..]
having laid before the Committee an Agreement entered into by
Messrs, Richard Davis< no role > and Nathaniel Whitfield< no role > of Rotherhi [..]
