The matter of the Petition of the several Persons whose
Names are thereunto Subscribed Inhabitants of the Parish of
Sr. Paul Shadwell and other Places adjacent in this County thereby
complaining of grievous outrages committed by certain Coalheavers
upon some of the Coalheavers
and of undue Encouragement and
protection given thereto by

Day coming on to be heard and this Court having now proceeded
to the Examination of Witnesses upon Oath touching the matter
aforesaid in the presence and hearing of the said Ralph
Hodgson and his Council who cross Examined the Witnesses from
time to time as they saw occasion And the said Ralph
Hodgson not producing any Witnesses on his part whatsoever
This Court is of Opinion that he the said

hath been accessary to the Outragious proceedings and
disorders contained in the said Petition and is therefore
unworthy to hold or Exercise the Office or authority of a
Magistrate in this County and this Court doth therefore resolve
that a proper Representation of such misconduct of the said Ralph
Hodgson be made to the Right Honourable the Lord High
Chancellor of Great Britain and that it be and it is hereby referred
to

Justices here present and such other of his Majesty's said Justices as
shall please to attend or any three or more of them where of the said
chairman
to be one to meet together as a committee as Hicks Hall
aforesaid on Thursday the 21. day of this instant July by 11 o' Clock in the
forenoon to draw up such Representation and the said Committee are desired
to lay the said Representation so to be drawn up by them before his
Majesty's Justices of the Peace to be assembled at the next general Session
of the Peace to be holden for this County for their approbation thereof.
